What if the next iPhone in your pocket is not just another iPhone but the biggest change Apple has made to the lineup in years? The rumored Apple iPhone Duo could mark the company’s first-ever foldable iPhone, opening an exciting chapter beyond iPhone design. This phone could turn a pocket-sized iPhone into a much larger, iPad mini-like experience.

Unlike a regular iPhone, it can fold into a 5.4-inch cover display form and open up to a spacious 7.6-inch display. This book-style foldable iPhone could introduce a completely new way to browse, watch videos, work, and enjoy content.

But there is a twist! The iPhone Duo is cost more than $2,000. If this becomes true, it will be one of Apple’s boldest and most exclusive iPhones yet. With Apple’s September 9 event approaching, all eyes are on whether this long-awaited foldable will finally become a reality, including Bangladeshi iPhone lovers.

Apple iPhone Duo Possible Release Date in Bangladesh

The Apple iPhone Duo release date in Bangladesh and availability could follow a different timeline. While the global announcement is expected on September 9, actual availability may come later. According to MacRumors, Apple could begin iPhone Duo pre-orders in the fourth quarter of 2026. The reason could be that production challenges may limit early stock.

Notably, Apple has used staggered launches before. The iPhone X, for example, was announced alongside other iPhones but reached customers weeks later. A similar strategy could be used with the iPhone Duo.

For Bangladeshi buyers, this could mean a longer wait after the September announcement. Unofficial imported units may first appear at local retailers (within roughly 48 hours). But official availability could arrive later, depending on Apple’s regional rollout. So, if you’re planning to buy the first foldable iPhone, keep an eye on the release schedule and local stocks at Mobile Buzz BD.

Expected Apple iPhone Duo Price in Bangladesh

The Apple iPhone Duo price in Bangladesh could start around ৳250,000 and reach ৳300,000 or more. This depends on storage options, taxes, import costs, and local availability. Internationally, some reliable sources reportedly put the starting price at $1,999.

Why Could the iPhone Duo Be So Expensive?

The price came down to several costly technologies. The foldable OLED panel requires advanced materials and manufacturing. The complex hinge mechanism also adds to production costs. Premium frame materials could further increase the price. On top of that, the rumored new Apple silicon and other custom hardware may push the cost even higher.

Apple iPhone Duo Design and Possible Specs

The rumored Apple iPhone Duo could be the biggest design change in the iPhone lineup yet. Since Apple has not officially confirmed the foldable, consider these specs rumored.

Book-Style Foldable Design

The biggest change could be in the form factor. The iPhone Duo is expected to use a book-style folding design. When closed, it works like a passport-sized smartphone, similar to Galaxy Z Fold8. Open it, and the inner display could offer a larger workspace. Remarkably, users may get a mini tablet-like experience without carrying a separate iPad.

Expected Thickness and Weight

Thickness could be one of Apple’s biggest challenges. Some rumors suggest the foldable iPhone may be around 5.2mm thick when unfolded. That would make it remarkably thin for a folding device. Apple may use lightweight materials and a new hinge system to control thickness.

iPhone Duo Display

The display could be one of the biggest attractions of the iPhone Duo. Rumors point to a 7.6-inch foldable LTPO OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A smaller 5.4-inch cover display could handle everyday tasks when the phone remains closed. According to rumors, the inner screen may also use ultra-thin glass and Samsung-made OLED technology. Apple is reportedly working on ways to reduce visible creases.

iPhone Duo Performance

Under the hood, the iPhone Duo could use Apple’s A20 Pro chip just like the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Some reports also point to 12GB of RAM. This combination could give the foldable plenty of power for demanding apps and future iOS features. Another interesting rumor is Apple’s C2 modem. This new modem could bring better connectivity and power efficiency.

iPhone Duo Camera

Two 48MP rear cameras, potentially serving as the main and ultra-wide. A major question is the telephoto camera. Current rumors suggest Apple may skip the dedicated telephoto lens to save internal space. That could disappoint users who expect ultra-branded iPhone zoom performance.

iPhone Duo Battery and Charging

The iPhone Duo could use a dual-cell battery to fit around its foldable internal structure. Rumors vary on the exact capacity, with estimates ranging from 5,800mAh. Despite its thin body, Apple may provide a long-lasting battery to power two displays and a high-performance chip.

Other Features to Expect

Apple may make several compromises to keep the foldable thin. Reports suggest the iPhone Duo could use Touch ID instead of Face ID, possibly integrated into the side button. An eSIM-only setup is also possible, meaning buyers should check local carrier support before importing one to Bangladesh.

Apple iPhone Duo: Hinge Technology and Durability

The hinge could be one of the biggest engineering challenges for Apple’s first foldable iPhone. Reports suggest that the iPhone Duo may use a liquid-metal hinge with a robust internal structure. The goal is simple: make folding feel smooth while keeping the display crease as small as possible.
