Honor Robot Phone Features

The Honor Robot Phone mixes flagship hardware with a moving camera system unlike anything else on the market. Read on to learn what sets this device apart from a typical smartphone.

Design & Material

The Robot Phone hides a folding camera module inside a slim metal frame. A titanium gimbal arm sits under the rear glass, and it extends when the camera turns on. Honor built this mechanism from over 100 precision parts, and it went through more than 60 manufacturing steps. The gimbal motor weighs only 2.6 grams and measures just 6mm thin. Honor claims this design runs about 65 percent smaller than a standalone gimbal camera. The phone weighs 248 grams and stays just 9.6mm thick, despite all the added hardware. Giant Rhinoceros Glass covers the front to resist scratches and everyday drops. Buyers can pick between Star Trail Silver and Moon Shadow Gray finishes. A protective rear cover slides open before the gimbal camera rises above the body.

Display

Honor Robot Phone uses a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED screen with a sharp 1216 x 2640 resolution. Pixel density lands at 461 ppi, so text and images look crisp up close. The refresh rate adjusts smoothly between 1Hz and 120Hz to save battery power. Peak brightness reaches an impressive 6,800 nits, so outdoor visibility stays strong under direct sunlight. Honor added an anti-reflective coating along with Oasis Eye Protection to cut glare and eye strain. High-frequency PWM dimming further reduces flicker during long viewing sessions. The panel supports 1.07 billion colors and covers the DCI-P3 color gamut for accurate tones.

Camera

The rear setup centers on a 200MP main sensor mounted on a moving four-axis gimbal. This gimbal tilts, pans, and rotates on its own to stabilize footage in real time. It can also track a moving subject and reframe the shot automatically. Voice commands let users adjust angles without touching the screen. A second 200MP periscope lens delivers 2.7x optical zoom for detailed telephoto shots. A 50MP ultra-wide lens completes the trio for landscapes and group photos. Honor partnered with cinema brand ARRI to add Log-C3 video encoding and LUT color grading. This partnership gives footage a cinematic look straight out of the camera app. The front camera uses a 50MP sensor housed in a small punch-hole cutout. Video recording goes up to 4K at 120 frames per second for smooth, cinematic footage.

Processor

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset drives every task on the Robot Phone. Built on a 3nm process, this octa-core chip clocks up to 4.6GHz for fast performance. The Adreno 840 GPU handles graphics-heavy apps and games without any slowdown. Honor also added three custom chips: C1 for signal strength, E2 for power efficiency, and H1 for image processing. The H1 chip works closely with the camera system to sharpen images and reduce noise. RAM options go up to 16GB, paired with up to 1TB of fast, non-expandable storage. LPDDR5X memory keeps multitasking smooth, even with several heavy apps open at once.

Battery & Charger

A 7,060mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the Robot Phone through long days of heavy use. This cell design packs more energy into a smaller space than older battery types. Charging speed reaches 120W over a wired connection, so a full charge takes very little time. The phone also supports 50W wireless charging for cable-free convenience. Battery life stays strong even during extended camera and gimbal use. Efficient power management from the E2 chip helps stretch each charge further during the day.
