Design & Material

When I first saw the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, I didn’t notice any huge design change compared to the previous model. But still, it feels more refined and premium in hand.

The phone comes with a flat display, flat back, slim bezels, and flat frame, which gives it a clean flagship look. The rear camera rings are separately placed, making the design more minimal and modern.

For durability, it uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both front and back, which helps protect against scratches and accidental drops. The frame is made of Armor Aluminum, adding strength without increasing weight. Samsung also adds glass protection around the camera area for extra safety.

It also has an IP68 rating, so it is resistant to dust and water splashes, which is very useful for daily use.

From my perspective, Samsung didn’t change the design dramatically, but they improved durability and premium feel, which makes the Galaxy S24 Plus still feel like a solid flagship device.

Display

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus provides a 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display, and honestly, this is one of the strongest points of the phone. The panel supports a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120 pixels), which gives you very sharp and detailed visuals. Text, images, and videos all look extremely crisp, especially when you compare it with normal FHD+ displays.

It also supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which means the screen automatically adjusts between lower and higher refresh rates depending on what you are doing. So when you scroll social media or play games, everything feels very smooth, but it also helps save battery when the full refresh rate is not needed.

Brightness is another highlight here. The display can go up to around 2600 nits peak brightness, which makes it very usable even under strong sunlight. Outdoor visibility is not an issue at all.

Samsung also added HDR10+ support, so if you watch Netflix, YouTube, or HDR content, you will notice better contrast, deeper blacks, and more vibrant colors.

From my perspective, the most impressive thing is the combination of QHD+ sharpness + AMOLED deep blacks + 120Hz smoothness. This makes the S24 Plus display feel truly flagship-level, even in 2026.

Camera

When it comes to the camera setup, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus basically keeps a familiar but very balanced flagship system. On the back, you get a triple-camera setup: a 50MP main wide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera.

The main 50MP camera is the one you will use most of the time. It captures sharp, detailed photos in daylight with good dynamic range. Colors are slightly boosted, which makes images look more vibrant and social media-ready. At night, the phone performs well with its night mode, keeping noise under control and improving brightness without making the image look too artificial.

The 10MP telephoto lens (3x zoom) is actually very useful in real life. It helps you take zoomed-in shots like portraits, objects from a distance, or street photography without losing too much detail. The quality stays stable even when you zoom in, which is something I personally like for a non-Ultra model.

The 12MP ultrawide camera is good for landscape shots, group photos, or capturing wide scenes. It gives a much broader view, and distortion is fairly well controlled, so edges don’t look too stretched.

On the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera, which delivers clean and natural-looking selfies. Skin tones look decent, and it also supports 4K video recording, which is great for vloggers or video calls.

From my perspective, the S24 Plus doesn’t try to be a “camera monster” like the Ultra model, but it gives a very consistent and reliable camera experience. You can basically depend on it for daily photography, social media, and even decent low-light shots without much effort.

Processor & Performance

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus comes with two different flagship chipsets depending on the region.

For the USA, Canada, and China, it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (SM8650-AC) built on a 4nm process, paired with the Adreno 750 GPU.
