The Motorola Razr Flex brings foldable technology to more buyers instead of targeting only ultra-premium users. Its passport-sized design folds into a compact device. Meanwhile, the 6.92-inch 165Hz OLED display offers a larger screen when unfolded. It may also support the latest magnetic charging standards. This makes the Motorola phone more convenient for everyday use.

Key Features of Motorola Razr Flex

Motorola Razr Flex stands out for more than its foldable screen. Its hinge technology and durable build make foldable phones less of a concern. Here’s what the expected features could offer in daily use.

Display

The Motorola Razr Flex features a large 6.92-inch foldable OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. Its 1728 × 2364 resolution delivers sharp visuals for movies, gaming, and multitasking. However, the 4.97-inch 120Hz cover display can easily handle quick tasks without unfolding the phone.

Camera

The rumored setup includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and PDAF, paired with a 50MP ultrawide camera. This combination offers better stability for handheld shots and more flexibility for landscape and group photos. 32MP ultrawide selfie cameras are also enough for taking good selfies and video calling.

Performance

The Razr Flex packs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with 12GB RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. This combination will provide strong performance for gaming, multitasking, and demanding apps.

Hinge Technology

Notably, the teardrop hinge mechanism could address one of the common concerns with foldable phones: a deep screen crease. The hinge allows the display to bend wider when folded. This can reduce sharp bending and stress on the flexible panel. The hinge also uses a titanium-reinforced hinge plate for better rigidity and long-term durability.

Durability

The Motorola Razr Flex is rumored to carry an IP49 rating. This means it can resist dust particles larger than 1mm, high-pressure water jets, and immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. For everyday use, this adds extra protection against accidental splashes and water exposure.

Price

Motorola has years of experience with flipable phones, but the Razr Fold marked its move into book-style foldables. However, foldable phones still carry high prices, even from major brands like Samsung, Apple, and Xiaomi. Motorola may target a wider audience with this passport-sized foldable rather than focusing solely on ultra-premium buyers. Surprisingly, it could also bring the latest magnetic charging standard. If Motorola keeps the price competitive, the Razr Flex could make the foldable format more accessible to everyday users.
